M-F 9AM - 5PM
- Greet and register patients upon arrival, verifying personal and insurance information accurately.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate medical personnel.
- Assist healthcare providers by taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Maintain and update patient medical records ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times and optimize clinic efficiency.
- Manage billing and insurance documentation as needed to support administrative processes.
- Ensure the reception area is organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to facilitate effective communication and patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited program.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a medical assistant or receptionist role within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Associate degree in Medical Assisting or related healthcare field.
- Experience with medical billing and coding procedures.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish or other commonly spoken languages in the United States.
- Advanced customer service training or certification.
- Familiarity with scheduling software and telehealth platforms.
