Accounting Assistant

Becker Americas is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their growing team. The Accounting Assistant supports the organizations financial operations with Accounts Receivable Collections, invoicing, and other related accounting tasks. This role is essential to ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable and Collections:

• Collect on past-due Accounts Receivable accounts, managing communication and follow-ups with customers.
• Owning portal access for customer invoices
• Prepare and issue invoices and credit memos to customers, including e-invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Post and ensure accurate recording of customer payments and maintain detailed records.o Backup for new customer setup and other accounting department tasks.

Audit Support:

• Prepare Accounts Receivable and price testing documentation for year-end audits.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Scan and deposit checks to the lockbox.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in an accounting role or a related field, or equivalent work experience as determined by the hiring manager.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
• High level proficiency in software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Dynamics, and Salesforce.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and safeguard confidential information.
• Strong independent judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse workforce.
• Strong detail orientation and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
