** Job Responsibilities **

• Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with Finance policies and procedures
• Enter vendor invoices and employee reimbursements into QuickBooks. Print checks as required.
• Review vendor statements and be able to research and resolve any discrepancies.
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
• Assist in preparing accounts payable-related financial reports for management.
• Assist in entering employee timecards for payroll processing
• Assist in purchasing supplies and making payments on purchases
• Maintain department’s files to ensure they remain accessible when needed by Company personnel or outside auditors
• Assist the Accounting Manager with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting Department.
• Assist in general accounts reconciliations, including bank statements, petty cash accounts, credit card accounts, fixed assets, employer’s benefit costs, accruals and prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities accounts and others
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements, budget performance, and interim financial reporting.
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Manage all administrative duties and additional projects assigned by the Accounting Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficient in using accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks (Preferred)
• Experience with general ledger accounting
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of debits, credits, account reconciliation, and technical accounting is highly desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
