Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Badge Validation in Santa Monica, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with staff and visitors while using technology to document activity and support daily operations. - Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare and biopharmaceutical location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain professional interactions with all individuals entering the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
