Director of Analytics and Technology

The client is seeking a Director, Office of Analytics and Technology, to lead the use of data and technology to influence policy and improve services for vulnerable county residents. This role oversees a team structure including five direct reports and approximately 120 indirect staff, and reports directly to the Director of the Department of Human Services. The Director will operate in complex, ambiguous environments and will focus on translating analytics and technology into practical improvements across public systems. The role requires combining expertise in analytics, technology, or product development with the ability to partner effectively across programs, asking strong questions, listening to stakeholders, and incorporating multiple perspectives into decisions. The successful candidate will be comfortable working without having all the answers while taking ownership of driving initiatives forward. They will support the continuous improvement of public service delivery through data-driven leadership, ensuring that teams can move work from insight to implementation in a thoughtful and responsible manner.
