Quick Facts: Location: Eureka, CA Start Date: 06/25/2026 Duration: Multiple shifts through July 2026 (see below) Shift: 24-Hour Beeper Call (6 am – 6 am) Hours/Week: Variable based on shifts Employment Type: Contract (Locum Tenens) Licenses/Certs: Active CA license, DEA, NRP Experience: Board Certified or Eligible within 3-5 years of residency Pay & Benefits: Pay Rate: $1.00 per hour Pay package discussed upon application Benefits include: Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with all applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated team support from VHS What You’ll Do: Provide inpatient pediatric care on a 24-hour beeper call basis Manage neonatal airway emergencies, including intubation and respiratory management Conduct urgent procedures such as UVC/UAC placement, lumbar punctures, and chest tube insertions (neonates) Interpret EKGs and assist with neonatal air leak management Collaborate with ED and anesthesia teams as needed Ensure quality care and timely interventions for pediatric patients What You Need: Required: Active California medical license DEA license Recent Board Certification or Board Eligibility (within 3-5 years of residency) Current CV with all hospital affiliations NRP certification Experience with neonatal airway management, UVC/UAC placement, and emergency procedures Preferred: Ventilator management Chest tube insertion in neonates About the Assignment: Join a dynamic team providing inpatient pediatric care at a reputable facility in Eureka, California.
