As a key part of our logistics and planning team, you will be responsible for coordinating the Production Build Plan and logistics coordination to satisfy project demand. Supply sufficient information to determine potential corrective actions.Develop and maintain a working schedule that clearly identifies the priority of manufacturing orders (MOs) for the production floor.Develop, implement, and coordinate part planning with shop operations to include such things as: Plan for Every Part (PFEP), Container and part count sizing, Returnable containers, Replenishment methods for supporting "Pull Systems", Minimize human involvement in the replenishment processes, and Integration of suppliers with production.Autonomously create and drive initiatives to improve overall delivery timelinesQualificationsQualifications – Compensation and position level commensurate with education and experience.Required Education / Experience:Bachelor's degree in business, material management, supply chain operations, or related field AND 5+ years of relevant work experienceORAssociate's degree in business, material management, supply chain operations, or related field AND 10+ years of relevant work experienceOR15+ years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge / Ability:Knowledge of manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processesDemonstrated planning, organization, and decision-making skillsHistory of clear and effective communicationAbility to manage large sets and interpret dataExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well within varying degrees of ambiguityAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detailExcellent organizational, time management and data entry skillsMicrosoft Office skillsPreferred Knowledge / Ability:Experience using MRP / ERP systems, preferably CostPointAPICS certification (CPIM or CSCP)Familiarity with Lean manufacturing techniquesHistory of working autonomously out in front of the current activity horizonWhy join Calspan?
