IT Purchasing Specialist

We are hiring an IT Purchasing Specialist to manage our organization's IT procurement process. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing IT equipment, software, and services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in IT procurement, and has excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the position include:

• Manage the software and subscription life cycle:
  • Coordinate and process software license and service renewals.
  • Monitor license usage and act to ensure compliance.
• Process hardware purchases.
• Request quotes and conduct price negotiations with major vendors and subcontractors.
• Obtain vendor’s applicable Software licenses/terms & conditions/terms of service as applicable and ensures AIR Software license use questionnaire is complete and accurate.
• Provide audit and oversite to ensure AIR staff follow all license terms and conditions.
• Analyze and execute IT procurement requests ensuring adherence to AIR’s Purchasing processes.
• Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in IT procurement or purchasing.
• Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and services.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
