Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist

Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client on the north side of Carmel in search of an AP & Payroll Specialist. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity working fully onsite. If you feel you would be a good fit, apply today!
Key Responsibilities
AP & Vendor Management
- Process vendor invoices, including coding, matching, obtaining approvals, and resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH transactions, and other approved disbursements.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9 forms and supporting documentation.
- Assist with annual 1099 preparation and filing requirements.
- Monitor accounts payable aging, reconcile vendor statements, and support month-end closing activities.
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule, including required payroll tax reporting and compliance activities.
- Review employee timecards, validate payroll data, and assist with payroll audits as needed.
- Track and document employee attendance, call-ins, and absences.
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and support account reconciliations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee, payroll, and sensitive company information.

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
