Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel Outpatient Physical Therapist for a travel job in Plains, Montana.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Physical Therapist\n Discipline: Therapy\n Start Date: 11/09/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 10 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 4x10hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Nov 9, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience to work in a rural Critical Access Hospital offering broad clinical exposure across outpatient, inpatient, and swing bed care.Details\n \n Critical Access Hospital offering outpatient, inpatient, home visits, and swing bed program services in a rural community\n Availability for 4x10 or 5x8 hour shifts, day shift hours 8:00-18:30, with weekly hours ranging 34-40 based on census or caseload\n Every 3rd weekend required\n No on-call requirement\n No floating to sister facilities required\n Epic charting system preferred\n Work settings include acute care, outpatient clinic, rehabilitation hospital, and skilled nursing facility\n Requirements\n \n Minimum 1 year of experience required\n BLS certification required\n License required if applicable\n Experience with orthopedic conditions including cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op cervical/shoulder/spinal surgery, and total hip/knee replacement\n Neurologic experience preferred, including cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury\n Skills in AROM/AAROM/PROM, pain assessment, strength testing, and vital sign monitoring\n Experience with home exercise programs and patient/family education\n Familiarity with modalities such as TENS, ultrasound, cryotherapy, and moist heat preferred\n Experience with wound/ulcer assessment and simple dressing changes preferred\n Experience with equipment such as bed alarms, call lights, hospital/specialty beds, and gait belts preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Primary responsibilities include evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore independence\n Collaborates with providers and care teams across acute, outpatient, and long-term care settings\n Small-town, community-based setting offering close clinician-patient relationships and broad clinical exposure\n Located along the scenic Clark Fork River with nearby outdoor recreation including fishing, skiing, and wildlife viewing\n About an hour from Missoula and Kalispell for shopping, dining, and airport access\n Open to first-time travelers with at least 1 year of experience\n Open to local candidates\n No RTO restrictions\n May accommodate block scheduling\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-757827.
