Patient ratios are 1:25 on weekdays and 1:45 on weekends. 40 hours of orientation provided. Highlights: Acute care facility setting with interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy and Social Services Work with diverse patient populations including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Epic charting system utilized for computerized documentation Business attire or scrubs accepted as dress code 91-day assignment with potential for extension No floating required within the unit Requirements: Active California RN license (Compact license accepted; must be licensed by start date) Minimum 2 years of acute care Case Management or Discharge Planning experience required Hospital-based experience mandatory; behavioral health experience does not substitute Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers cannot be considered Experience with patient assessment, care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review Competency in arranging DME, SNF placement, and ambulance transport independently Knowledge of HMOs, IPAs, adoption/foster care, substance abuse treatment, homelessness resources, mental health crisis management, advance directives, and protective services Ability to organize and participate in family meetings and treatment plan development Two professional references covering one year within the last three years Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Why Join Us?
