Sovah Pediatrics is looking for a Registered Nurse to be the friendly face that welcomes families into our practice and supports them throughout their visit.  If you love working with children, have a passion for excellent service, and thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to be a team player we'd love to hear from you.

How you'll contribute

\n

A Registered Nurse (RN)  who excels in this role:

\n

\n
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
\n
• Documents patient care given.
\n
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
\n
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
\n
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
\n
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
\n
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we're looking for 

\n

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.  Associate's degree in nursing required.

Additional requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
\n
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support
\n
