The Shield Account Coordinator supports the Shield Program by assisting Account Managers and clients with day-to-day operations, member communications, and program coordination.

This role serves as a liaison between Account Management, Pharmacy Operations, and client partners to ensure Shield program requests, cases, and documentation are processed accurately and on time. The Shield Account Coordinator ensures service excellence by maintaining accurate records, supporting case resolution, and facilitating efficient communication between departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1.       Program Coordination & Client Support

·         Support the Shield Program by coordinating cases, communications, and follow-ups for members and client groups.

·         Respond promptly to inbound calls and emails regarding Shield prescriptions, cost-saving options, and status updates.

·         Collaborate with the Pharmacy, Billing, and Cost Containment teams to ensure timely processing of Shield orders and requests.

·         Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in internal CRM systems.

·         Track and manage open cases, ensuring that all pending and escalated issues are resolved efficiently.

2.       Administrative & Reporting Support

·         Assist Account Managers with preparation of client reports, utilization summaries, and savings documentation.

·         Support Shield-related communication materials and documentation for internal and external use.

·         Monitor case activity and maintain accurate records to ensure visibility for the Cost Containment and Client Services teams.

·         Help ensure consistency and compliance in program delivery and data management.

3.       Cross-Departmental Collaboration

·         Partner with Pharmacy Operations, Customer Care, and International Sourcing teams to align Shield workflows.

·         Coordinate interdepartmental communication to ensure seamless case handling and service resolution.

·         Participate in team meetings to review open cases, client trends, and process improvement opportunities.

·         Contribute to departmental projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and service quality.

4.       Compliance & Quality Assurance

·         Follow company policies, HIPAA regulations, and confidentiality standards at all times.

·         Ensure that all documentation, communication, and data handling meet compliance and accuracy standards.

·         Support quality assurance processes to maintain consistency and member satisfaction within the Shield program.
