Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary:
Assist physical therapists in providing patient care through therapeutic interventions and supportive activities. Collaborate with the therapy team to ensure effective treatment and progress for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

• Support physical therapists by implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
• Assist patients with stretching, balance training, and mobility activities.
• Read and follow instructions provided by the Physical Therapist to ensure proper care.
• Communicate with patients' families to recommend at-home care techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring all equipment is sanitized.
• Complete administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 1 year of PTA experience in LTC or rehab settings.
• Hold a valid PTA license.
• Be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and patient care procedures.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills to collaborate with patients and families.
• Be eligible to work with a Washington state license.
