Location: Sparks, MD, 21152 | Pay: $21.84/hr | Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm | Type: Contractor About the RoleJoin our high-performing team as an Assembler 3, Instrument and play a vital role in producing advanced electromechanical instrumentation. You will leverage your expertise in assembly, troubleshooting, and quality control to build, test, and deliver world-class products in a dynamic, regulated environment. Responsibilities - Perform complex assembly, integration, and testing of electronic and mechanical subassemblies and full instruments
- Interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and work instructions with precision
- Conduct quality inspections and record device history, serial numbers, and tool usage
- Troubleshoot, rework, and repair assemblies, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
- Support and train team members on assembly processes and testing procedures
- Identify and recommend process and design improvements for efficiency and quality
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by executing housekeeping responsibilities
- Participate actively in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement programs Required Skills and Experience - High school diploma or GED with 3+ years manufacturing experience, or AA technical degree with 1+ year experience in a regulated setting
- Proficient with mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits) and standard material handling
- Advanced skills in reading and interpreting technical drawings, measuring dimensions, and following quality procedures
- Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring and coaching associates
- Demonstrated commitment to Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing)
- Capable of troubleshooting and process improvement in a fast-paced production environment
- Basic proficiency with PCs and Windows-based software; ability to analyze data and perform basic arithmetic
- Able to manage multiple production orders and adapt to frequent assignment changes
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English Preferred Skills - Experience in medical device, biotech, or similarly regulated production environments
