Job Description
***Only qualified Assembler candidates located near the Sparks, MD area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***

Required Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 3+ years of experience or
• Associate of Arts (AA) Technical Degree with 1 year of experience accepted

Required Experience
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment required
• Experience assembling electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
• Experience with troubleshooting and repair activities
• Experience performing testing and quality inspections
• Experience training and mentoring associates preferred
• Experience supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives preferred
• Experience working with Manufacturing Engineering Quality Planning and Purchasing teams

Technical Skills
• Instrument assembly and integration
• Mechanical assembly and subassembly installation
• Wiring component installation and cable harnessing
• Hand soldering skills
• Blueprint and drawing interpretation
• Dimension measurement and tolerance verification
• Use of torque drivers gauges bits and mechanical tools
• Quality inspection and testing procedures
• Troubleshooting and problem solving
• Device history record documentation
• Material handling of raw materials and subassemblies
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge
• Basic computer skills in Windows environment

Responsibilities
• Assemble multiple instrument product lines and integrate subassemblies into finished instruments
• Build and understand complete instrument assembly processes
• Record and maintain device history documentation including serial numbers and tool records
• Perform component testing on assemblies modules and instruments
• Identify defects and recommend process improvements
• Read and interpret drawings work instructions and workmanship standards
• Train and support associates in assembly and testing activities
• Execute testing procedures and analyze results for pass fail determination
• Perform troubleshooting repair and rework activities
• Support production activities in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering Quality Planning and Purchasing teams as needed
• Follow company specifications operating procedures and policies
• Perform material handling activities for raw materials and subassemblies
• Maintain a safe clean and organized work environment
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Follow all housekeeping and safety procedures
• Support Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
