Job Overview Roark is searching for talent to contribute to the future development of our adventure lifestyle brand. We’re looking for someone with passion, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirit to assist the team at our San Francisco retail store on a full‑time basis. Position Type Part Time (29 hours or less per week) Key Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager with growing revenue by driving sales and business results through a premium guest experience, employee relations, and operations that are aligned with Roark Culture and Retail Operating Principles. Execute standard store product flow, restocking, overall back‑of‑house operations, supply needs, and daily store maintenance as directed by the Store Management. Uphold visual merchandising directives within the store and maintain visual standards and brand image on a daily basis. Oversee Cashwrap & POS procedures. Reconcile tills, process returns, exchanges, gift cards, and discounts accurately. Open and close the store following standard operating procedures. Engage with new customers and build immediate and lasting rapport, providing highest level of hospitality and customer service. Independently problem‑solve and resolve customer issues while maintaining a calm composure in high‑stress situations. Ensure the retail floor is clean and presentable; maintain store concepts and visual standards. Assist with back‑of‑house duties including receiving and placing product. Support and promote the Point‑of‑Sale process in all areas of register procedure, protocol and policies. Manage inventory and ensure the retail store is well‑stocked at all times. Handle opening and closing procedures and manage daily revenue drop. Supervisor and training of cashiers and cleaning staff. Qualifications Minimum one year of experience in sales and merchandising, preferably in retail goods with closing and opening responsibilities. Proficiency or knowledge in action sports, climbing, camping activities, and a passion for the outdoors. Computer skills including operating POS sales (Shopify). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Self‑motivated leader with strong entrepreneurial skills and a positive, high‑energy attitude. Able to lift, carry, or move objects up to 15 pounds and use ladders or stairs. Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. BA or BS preferred. Elevated communication skills that can tailor style to suit the audience.
