Nurse Educator Program ManagerNote: We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled and experienced nurse educator for an'sweat equity' ownership position in a new allied health/nursing program in Redondo Beach. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the right person.We are an accredited school located in the South Bay of LA. We are expanding into allied health and nursing education. Immediate plans include launching a focused licensure test-preparation program (NCLEX and related exams) to support aspiring nurses and allied health professionals in passing required licensure and certification tests.We have a strong administrative team with experience in navigating federal, state, and accreditation requirements.We have an outstanding campus in Redondo Beach that is zoned to permit classroom based medical education. From the start, a key metric for success will be exam pass rates.Position Title: Program ManagerLocation: Redondo Beach, Los Angeles (on-site, hybrid, and fully online components)Reports to: Director of Academic Programs / Campus DirectorPosition Summary: We seek an experienced Nurse Educator with demonstrated teaching skills to help design, lead, and deliver nursing licensure-focused test-preparation programs and courses. They will also help develop nursing and allied health certification programs.Working with the academic and administrative team, the program manager will help develop curriculum and assessment materials, teach classroom and review sessions, assist in hiring additional instructors, advise and mentor students, and collaborate with clinical partners.We will offer the successful candidate an equity position in this school. This is a 'sweat equity' position, we are not seeking financial investment, but the right candidate will need to support themselves during the startup phase of this project.Key ResponsibilitiesImmediately: Implement a comprehensive NCLEX test-prep curriculum aligned with current NCLEX test blueprints and best practices.Locate or develop preparatory courses for related allied health licensure and certification exams (as needed).Midterm: Assist in establishing licensure and certification programs in nursing and allied health.Duties include:Prepare lesson plans, practice question banks, case studies, simulations, and assessment tools.Deliver engaging, evidence-based classroom instruction, workshops, review boot camps, and virtual sessions.Administer and review practice exams, analyze results, and provide individualized remediation plans.Mentor and coach students on test-taking strategies, critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and stress management.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NCLEX/test changes, exam trends, and relevant clinical standards.Coordinate with academic and student services teams to track student progress, retention, and outcomes.Establish and maintain relationships with local hospitals, clinics, and allied health employers for advisory input, guest speakers, and transition-to-practice opportunities.Collect and analyze program data (pass rates, satisfaction, learning outcomes) and prepare reports for accreditation and institutional review.Ensure program compliance with accreditation and SEVP requirements and assist with documentation as needed.Contribute to recruiting, hiring, and training additional instructors and adjunct faculty as the program grows.Qualifications — RequiredActive, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (CA license preferred).Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in long-term health care facilities.Demonstrated experience teaching or tutoring nursing or allied health students (classroom, clinical instruction, or exam prep).Strong knowledge of NCLEX-RN/PN test blueprints, question formats, and current testing strategies.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Experience with educational technology (LMS, virtual classroom platforms, exam simulation software).Commitment to student-centered, culturally responsive instruction and equity-minded practices.PreferredMaster's degree in Nursing, Education, or a related field (or MD with teaching experience).Experience developing curricula.Prior experience leading NCLEX or licensure test-prep programs.Demonstrated relationships with local health care facilities and hiring managers.Experience with data-driven instruction and program evaluation.Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages common in LA) a plus.Equity Opportunity: An equity position may be offered to an outstanding candidate who:Brings current, demonstrable classroom teaching experience and positive student outcomes.Has established partnerships and referral channels with area health care facilities.Demonstrates leadership capacity to grow the program and contribute to business development.Compensation & BenefitsHighly competitive salary or hourly rate (based on experience and credentials).Professional development funds and credentialing support.Opportunity for equity participation for exceptional candidates.Supportive academic environment with resources for curriculum development and student success initiatives.Application Instructions Please submit:Cover letter outlining your teaching philosophy, NCLEX and related test-prep experience, and interest in the equity opportunity (if applicable).Current CV or resume including professional licenses and clinical teaching experience.Names and contact information for at least two professional references (preferred: one clinical, one academic or teaching reference).Optional: A sample lesson plan, syllabus, or assessment item set you developed for NCLEX or similar prep.We are an equal opportunity employer.
