Reporting directly to the General Superintendent, you will manage teams of foremen and plumbers, oversee on‑site operations, ensure exceptional quality and safety, and drive profitable, on‑time delivery for clients in commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors. This role requires proven expertise in ground‑up new construction plumbing, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving and client relationships. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution Lead and manage foremen, plumbers, and subcontractors on ground‑up commercial plumbing projects, ensuring alignment with company goals, budgets, and timelines. Develop proactive solutions to prevent issues from becoming problems; conduct thorough material takeoffs, site surveys, and planning. Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily on‑site activities, including scheduling, material control, equipment rentals, and field supervision. Review projects with leadership post‑procurement; interpret blueprints, coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and owners for seamless execution. Ensure timely procurement, production scheduling with the shop, and delivery of materials. Oversee job start‑ups, inspections, testing, and commissioning; verify complete documentation (e.g., start‑up sheets, warranties). Quality Assurance & Client Satisfaction Maintain and exceed industry standards for commercial plumbing installations in ground‑up construction. Perform quality assurance checks, site walks with clients, and analysis to prevent callbacks or warranty issues. Proactively build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the construction team through clear communication and collaboration. Safety & Compliance Enforce all company, project‑specific, and OSHA safety requirements; ensure all personnel wear required PPE at all times. Document incidents, recommend corrective actions, and coordinate with safety officers for job site visits. Promote a zero‑incident culture on fast‑paced commercial sites. Team Development & Administration Track employee progress, nominate for promotions/incentives, and assist with interviewing/hiring. Approve and submit weekly time records; ensure accurate documentation of work activities. Required Qualifications & Competencies 7+ years of progressive experience in commercial plumbing, with strong emphasis on ground‑up new construction (e.g., full system installations, underground utilities, rough‑in/top‑out, fixture setting in commercial buildings). Proven track record leading plumbing teams on large‑scale commercial projects (government/municipal experience a plus). Excellent leadership, communication (written/verbal), and multi‑tasking skills; self‑motivated with strong follow‑through. Proficiency in reading blueprints, performing takeoffs, scheduling, and managing subcontractors. Knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Professional appearance, punctuality, and reliability. Valid driver's license; relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, plumbing license) preferred.
