Temporary Human Resources Assistant

The Temporary Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of Gebhardt’s human resources department. Temporary Position This is a temporary, full-time position intended to provide HR department support for a defined period. The position is expected to work on the company's normal full-time schedule and may have the potential for extension based on business needs and performance. Duties/Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, personnel records & documentation. Provides clerical and administrative support for the HR department. Provide weekly/monthly reports to the appropriate departments. Assists with the planning & execution of special events such as employee meetings, open enrollment, monthly luncheons, etc. Assists with the recruitment & onboarding of new employees. Assist in all HR related projects, some of which include FMLA administration, employee wellness, monthly service awards, company communications, etc. Handle employee requests dealing with HR issues and policies. Promote safety awareness to all employees. All other responsibilities assigned by management. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resources information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: At least 1 year of experience as an HR assistant or relevant HR/administrative position required. Familiarity with HRIS software. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. #J-18808-Ljbffr
