Faculty Member in Rheumatology

The Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. The Division of Rheumatology strives to excel in the care of patients' rheumatologic disorders with a focus on treatment, education and research advancement. The Division of Rheumatology provides services to citizens of the Central Savannah River area and across the state through the Rheumatology clinics and inpatient services. This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.

Responsibilities include outpatient clinic care to Rheumatology patients, Rheumatology inpatient consults, and on-call duties. Teaching of students, residents and fellows for the Rheumatology division is also required.

Required qualifications include an MD, DO or equivalent degree from an appropriately accredited institution. Board certified or board eligible in Rheumatology. Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor ranks have specific requirements related to career stage, training, background, and experience.

This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time. Salary and compensation are commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and are subject to availability of funds.
