Job Description As a Security Officer Screening Desk in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Screen personnel, visitors, and permitted items entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures. Monitor screening equipment, access points, and surrounding areas; report suspicious activity, prohibited items, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site-specific escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, facility entrances, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and support security-related operations. Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. X-ray screening experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
