Quality Technician

Overview Onsite quality technician role on second shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM). Conducts day-to-day analysis and tests across quality control areas including data analysis, systems evaluation, and product assessment. Ensures operations are carried out efficiently and in compliance with quality standards and objectives. Responsibilities Approve finished products, in-process production, and incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming requirements. Assist with QA audits. Lead investigations on basic production issues. Execute inspection requirements and document data as required. Maintain documentation and records. Cooperate with internal groups to maintain and improve the inspection system. Support additional QA technician duties as required. Comply with Environmental, Health and Safety duties as a condition of employment: safety rules, safety training, active participation in safety processes, reporting accidents and injuries, submitting safety improvement suggestions, understanding emergency responsibilities, coaching others on safe behavior, and related responsibilities. Lock-out/tag-out compliance after 6 months and participation in all hazardous and non-hazardous waste trainings; recognize chemical hazardous labels; spill management and cleanup; follow satellite accumulation rules; recognize and properly manage hazardous wastes in the area. Ability to recognize and manage hazardous materials per area requirements. What We Look For Required: 2 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment in mechanical or automotive fields. Strong analytical ability to solve programs and the ability to learn quickly. Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions. Ability to use measurement equipment as required. Ability to follow a structured project management process including documenting meeting minutes, action items, and monitoring progress. Documentation of inspection results. Experience with SAP or other MRP-based systems. Preferred: Associate degree in a technical field.
