This position will be responsible for employee relations, onboarding, HR administration, compliance, recruiting and other general HR functions.Position ResponsibilitiesGeneral HR ResponsibilitiesSupport new-hire onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processesMaintain accurate employee records and HR documentationAssist with employee relations and respond to employee questions regarding HR policies and proceduresSupport performance management and employee engagement initiativesHelp ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policiesAssist with HR reporting, audits, and other administrative responsibilitiesMaintain confidentiality of employee and company informationSupport special HR projects and initiatives as neededRecruiting & Talent AcquisitionFull-cycle recruitment from job posting through offer and onboardingPartner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptionsSource, screen, and interview qualified candidatesCoordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidatesConduct reference and background checks as requiredPrepare and extend employment offersDevelop and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated openingsQualificationsQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of directly applicable experience as an HR Generalist who was involved in all aspects of HRStrong knowledge of recruiting practices and employment processesExcellent communication, interviewing, and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple open positions and priorities simultaneouslyProficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/Applicant Tracking SystemsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionWorking knowledge of Maryland employment laws and HR best practicesKnowledge of Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, DC, and/or Delaware employment laws a plusPreferred QualificationsAbility to influence all levels of the CompanyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR a plus but not requiredExperience with Paycom is a plus, but not requiredExperience developing recruiting strategies and sourcing hard-to-fill positionsCore CompetenciesEmployee relationsCommunication and relationship buildingOrganization and time managementProblem solvingConfidentiality and professionalismHR complianceAttention to detailInterviewing and candidate assessmentCompensation: 60-69K SalaryJob Type: Full-timeSchedule: Monday - Friday in officeWork Setting: Office EnvironmentReports To: General ManagerAbout the CompanyDouron a division of TSRC, Inc., is a business-to-business distributor of office supplies, furniture, coffee and breakroom products, janitorial and cleaning supplies, promotional products, and technology solutions to customers seeking customized workplace solutions and personalized service.
