Project Accountant

Carolina PRG has partnered with a growing construction-related organization in the greater Charlotte area to identify a Construction Project Accountant. This role will work closely with leadership and operations to support project coordination, contract tracking, and overall business organization in a fast-paced environment. Construction Accounting & Operations Support RESPONSIBILITIES Support contract administration by tracking subcontractor agreements, certificates, licenses, and compliance-related documentation Assist with project tracking and coordination, working closely with operations and project teams to ensure accurate and organized information Provide support with monthly financial reporting, including reconciliations and maintaining data accuracy across projects Act as a point of coordination between internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate documentation Assist with process improvement initiatives, including organizing and maintaining internal systems and file structures (including SharePoint) Support day-to-day accounting and operational needs as a flexible, cross-functional team member QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience in accounting, construction support, or a related operational role Experience working in a construction, project-based, or service-oriented environment preferred Familiarity with contract documentation, compliance tracking, or working with vendors/subcontractors Basic understanding of accounting principles, including reconciliations and financial reporting support Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep projects on track Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, vendors, and internal teams Experience with ERP systems, Excel, and document management systems (SharePoint or similar) Self-starter with a proactive mindset and willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
