Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will undertake a variety of essential tasks that directly impact client outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to identify unique needs and establish strong therapeutic alliances.

• Providing individualized and family therapy aligned with evidence-based practices tailored to the specific requirements of each patient.

• Timely completion of billing, documentation, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms while maintaining patient confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards.

• Developing comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans aimed at fostering stability and promoting recovery.

• Creating effective discharge plans to support clients in their transition out of therapy while ensuring continuity of care.

• Complying with all applicable federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures.

• Participating actively in case consultations and agency meetings to enhance collaborative approaches and treatment efficacy.

• Engaging in ongoing professional development through training and educational opportunities, ensuring you remain at the forefront of current mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with diverse clientele encompassing individuals and families seeking mental health support. Your approach will be tailored to accommodate varying cultural backgrounds and specific mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and other mental health conditions. Your efforts will focus on empowering clients through education and support so they can successfully navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or a related field that qualifies for licensure. Additionally, you must hold current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) in New York State.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience in community health settings and familiarity with integrated care models will be advantageous.
