Senior Compensation Analyst (Pleasanton)

We are seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our People Team at 10x Genomics. This person will be supporting and administering compensation programs and initiatives, including best-in-class compensation packages, long term incentive plans. This role will work closely with HR Partners and business leaders to ensure competitive and equitable compensation strategies that align with the company's goals.The ideal candidate has a strong analytical background, is experienced in developing and writing business process documents, and is equally strong at driving execution around multiple compensation plans. Individuals applying for this position must be self-starters, strategic thinkers, action-driven, thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at managing multiple priorities, and succeed in communicating and influencing within the organization.What you will be doing:Participate in compensation surveys, performs market research, analyze data, and formulates recommendations regarding the design of our compensation equity programsLead the annual compensation review program (Focal), partnering with HRIS and HRBPs on end-to-end execution; support the analysis, design, and administration of related base pay, bonus, and equity processes, including merit increases, equity refreshers, and performance reviews. Conducts job analysis and evaluations on new and revised positions to determine appropriate title, salary grade, pay and incentive level, job code, and FLSA classification, etc. Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws.Supports the annual plan and forecast processes by calculating bonus pools and summarizing the financial impact of all comp plan changes across the global organization.Collaborates and provides consultative support with HR team members and management on compensation-related issues as well as initiatives including job classification process and assignments. Develops and prepares recurring compensation reporting/analytics, leveraging Workday and Snowsight in collaboration with the systems team to streamline reporting; provides support for ad-hoc reporting requests. Conducts regular audits of compensation data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Leads the annual market survey submission process and serves as a primary point of contact with Radford AON.Assists with reviewing and approving proposed salary and incentive compensation changes.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or experience in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or Business.5+ years of compensation experience, including experience administering base base pay, variable pay, and long term incentive compensation programs, policies, and practicesKnowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in HR and Finance.Demonstrated analytical and project management skillsStrong ability to build effective partnerships with stakeholders across and outside of HR (e.g., Legal, Equity, HRBPs, Recruiters, Systems), with demonstrated success embedding into systems-related projects such as the annual compensation review process. Skilled in developing and delivering presentations to varying audiences, including employees and various levels of management.Preferred Qualifications: Proficient with MS Office and Google Suites and strong knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.Proficient in leveraging AI tools to help automate reporting and enhance existing processes.Intermediate knowledge of HR systems (Workday experience is preferred)Below is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
