Your Role on the Team: Position Summary: Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, incumbent is responsible for the performance of the full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and related chemical substances. Responsible for the provision of quality patient care, including the timely throughput of patients and the performance of their exams. Operates and performs quality control of stationary and portable scintillation equipment including, gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices and ancillary equipment. Requirements include working On-Call and working rotating shifts. Knowledge of State regulatory radiation safety practices and the principles of ALARA. External candidates hired into the Full-Time, Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Job Code 009004) are eligible for a $10,000.00 sign-on bonus. Payment terms are $5,000.00 paid to active employee upon hire and $5,000.00 at 6 months of employment. All potential recipients cannot have been employed within the UC System for the past 12 months in order to qualify.

Required Qualifications: Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Must be able to provide on-call/call-back service as needed Minimum one year, full-time experience working as a CNMT Knowledge of State regulatory radiation safety practices and the principles of ALARA Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program Current and active State of California CNMT License Current and active NMTCB and/or AART (N) licensure for Nuclear Medicine Current BLS certification Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 1 year, full time experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures. Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
