The Construction Technician will work under the supervision of the Director of Construction and assist with all phases of construction, including site preparation, framing, painting, drywall, flooring and general repairs. The position may also assist with facility maintenance, material handling, tool organization, and project cleanup activities.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, be willing to learn, work safely, follow instructions, and demonstrate professionalism.

Essential Duties

• Perform residential/commercial construction activities
• Operate hand and power tools safely
• Assist with site preparation and cleanup
• Load, unload, and organize construction materials
• Assist with project punch-list items and final project completion
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Perform facility maintenance and repair work when assigned
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Construction Director

Minimum Qualifications

• Reliable transportation
• Own tools and equipment
• Experience in residential/commercial construction, maintenance, or related field preferred
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Ability to perform physical labor in indoors/outdoor environments
• Valid Texas driver's license
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends if need be.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, and carrying
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely use ladders, tools, and construction equipment
