Shift Supervisor - Functions

Work as an integral member of the hospitality and retail team, overseeing catering and hospitality services for functions held across the College for students, parents, colleagues, and visitors.

The successful applicant will work typically Monday to Friday shifts, during term time, with availability required for both day and evening shifts as required.

✅ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Function as the point of contact in relation to catering requirements across the College
• Consult with the Events team, Head Chef and Hospitality and Retail Supervisor to ensure function requirements are clearly communicated, understood, staffed and catered for
• Organise the catering set up and pack downs for functions
• Liaise with function organisers to clarify expectations and best met needs
• Coordinate the delivery of food and catering requirements for functions
• Order a sufficient supply of beverages, tablecloths, condiments and general catering and hospitality stock
• Process purchase orders, catering charges and enter invoices accurately
• Support the coordination and delivery of diverse events and hospitality service across the College

• Service orientation with a professional, enthusiastic and efficient approach
• Ability to effectively work with students, colleagues and the community
• Reliability and capacity to work flexible hours and duties, primarily during term time
• Stock control and accounts experience well regarded
• Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol and Food Safety or Food Handling
• Physical fitness to work across a vibrant campus and perform manual handing tasks
