National Sales Director

Paris Gourmet is seeking a National Sales Director to join our exceptional team! Our selected hire will be focused on maintaining the highest level of client satisfaction while driving a sales team to continue success with strategic collaboration, partnering in problem solving and leading in technology initiatives keeping PG ahead of the curve in state-of-the-art industry process. This is not a remote role – when not travelling, employees are required to be in the office. Experience and Skills Broad Liner Distribution experience (5 years minimum) Knowledge of food service products, practices, and trends Understanding of data analysis (specific tools/software to be determined, PowerBI) Understanding of Truck distribution and Public warehouses Proficiency in managing pricing, rebates, discounts, and margins Responsibilities Team Leadership - recruit, hire, train, and coach sales representatives to improve their performance and meet goals Manage a minimum of 11 sales personnel (5 in NYC, 6 National) Sales pipeline management - Oversee the sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals and conduct business reviews with key accounts Organize sales meetings and manage presentations to distributors Drive new product placement, sales, and new account incentives Manage ride-along for sales staff with PG Chefs, Technicians, and PG Brand Managers Customer relationship management - build and maintain strong relationships with key Operational support - collaborate with departments such as purchasing to manage inventory and with marketing on promotional activities Communicate effectively with PG Chefs and Brand Managers Oversee all Trade Shows in which PG participates Work Environment and Travel No remote work; presence required in the office or on the road Ability to sleep 5 to 7 nights a month in a hotel for travel and trade shows Flexible availability is required, including evenings, weekends, and travel for trade shows and industry events. This position includes essential duties that require tasting and evaluating a variety of food products for quality and compliance purposes.
