Grill Cook

We are currently seeking an experienced, energetic, and team-oriented Grill Cook for its rewarding team at Lambertville Station Restaurant and Inn. We are hiring for Full Time!

Essential Functions:

• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
• Prepares and cooks meats, poultry, fish, vegetables, and other food products according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Operates and maintains grills, broilers, ovens, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitors cooking times, temperatures, and product quality to ensure food is cooked to the proper specifications.
• Maintains consistency in portion sizes, doneness, seasoning, temperature, and presentation of all food products.
• Recognize quality standards in fresh vegetables, fish, dairy, and meat products.
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, and all storage areas.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Kitchen Manager.
• Maintain assigned work station in a safe and sanitary condition.
• Handle food in a manner that is consistent with local health department guidelines.
• Follow proper food handling techniques and coordinates the use of time, material and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense.
• Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene.
• Comply with department's dress code.
• Follow safety regulations, reporting injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to the supervisor.
• Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, mornings, evenings.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Well developed and multi-tasking, organizational skills, and detailed oriented.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
• Candidate must be dependable and reliable.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by manager.

Education and Experience :

• High school diploma and or equivalent
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus, however, not required
