This position will help us with performing repairs and maintenance tasks on our equipment.A Mechanical Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to become a strong asset of the Factory Maintenance Team providing expertise and leading the way to improvements.Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00AM - 12:00PMSalary: $30 - 40 per hour depending upon experienceLocation: North Aurora, ILJob Responsibilities:Identify defects, execute maintenance plan and troubleshoot equipment.Understand Power distribution system (up to 480 volts)Control systems – Basic PLC, Motor, sensor, drives and Basic electrical circuits, Basic understanding of device communication networksMechanical system – Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Mechanical Drive systemsTroubleshooting and problem-solving skills to maintain, optimize and improve processes and performance, with key indicators such as safety, quality, and cost.Review maintenance plans and optimize to drive reliability of equipment.Reviews and reads engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical)Coach operator skills- on operation and troubleshooting existing process and equipment.Build technical procedures for proper operation and maintenance of equipmentTrain other technical resources and neededLead with continuous improvement mindsetIdentify and create Work orders, give technical feedback on work performedImprove / Create necessary task listAbility to work as a team and lead as an individualPositive conflict resolution skillsStrong focus on production reliability improvementsRequired Qualifications:2-4 years Electrical and/or Mechanical experience or completion of Technical DegreeStrong Mechanical skillsElectrical skills (basic electrical circuits, 480V power distribution, industrial wiring)Knowledge and use of electrical test equipmentWelding, Fabrication and Machining skillsAbility to analyze problem and make decisionsKnowledge on how to properly use toolsAbility to self-manageTrouble shooting electrical and mechanical problemsKnowledge on motors, pumps, drives, and sensorsAbility to work independentlySolid work ethic and self-motivatedExcellent communication, organizational, and time management skillsHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
