Procurement Specialist
This role involves leading and managing the sourcing strategy within a defined category or sub-categories, engaging with senior stakeholders, and overseeing the sourcing process and materials/reports for management. The Procurement Specialist will provide sourcing and procurement advice to business areas.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Understanding of procurement and sourcing techniques and supply chain management
- Experience in procurement or purchasing
- Prior work experience in data center procurement and/or contracting execution for long lead equipment
- Experience with inventory management of stored equipment including managing vendor care & custody
- Experience in mission-critical construction projects
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and define category strategy
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key strategic suppliers
- Monitor compliance with sourcing processes and act as an internal consultant
- Daily monitoring of on-hand and expected delivery of long lead equipment to project site
- Partner with GC to ensure accurate equipment storage, receipt, care, custody, and maintenance
- Monitor, communicate, escalate, and mitigate risks including equipment and supplier tech resource constraints
