US Field Medical Affairs - Regional Medical Scientific Director - Thoracic Oncology (Los Angeles)

Merck seeks a credentialed Regional Medical Scientific Director for thoracic malignancies in Los Angeles to engage in scientific exchange with external medical leaders, support clinical trials, and provide evidence-based information on oncology topics and company products.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with regional and national scientific leaders in oncology
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and serve as medical contact for external experts
- Support company-sponsored and investigator-sponsored trials to enhance scientific understanding and enrollment
- Respond to scientific inquiries from investigators and identify potential study sites
- Attend medical and scientific meetings to stay current in the field
Requirements
- MD, PhD, PharmD, or DNP degree
- Minimum 3 years clinical or research experience in oncology with demonstrated therapeutic competence
- Deep expertise in thoracic malignancies and related disease areas
- Capable of conducting doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and pharmaceutical industry regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
