Maintenance Mechanic

Job Overview Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic III Location: Geneva, NY. Type: Direct Hire. Pay: $25-40/hour. Benefits: 401K, Dental insurance, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision Insurance. Main Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain all packaging and support equipment to optimize efficiency and quality. Conduct line changeovers and make necessary adjustments as required by the production schedule. Perform line alterations and rebuild as necessary. Utilize CMMS and MES data to analyze and solve routine and complex mechanical and electrical problems in processing, packaging, and auxiliary equipment. Assist manufacturing personnel and engineering on process-related problems, equipment installations, and repair/fabrication of parts. Perform preventive maintenance, identify and correct mechanical/electrical issues, and assist and train team members on adjustments and maintenance. Operate forklift trucks to move equipment or materials. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 7+ years of mechanic experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. High School graduate or equivalent; Associate degree in mechanical, electrical technology, or engineering science preferred. Completion of a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship, or military technical training strongly preferred. Advanced technical knowledge of machine shop operations, welding, and mechanical/electrical maintenance principles (shafts, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, AC/DC motors, starters, contactors, three-phase power, PLCs).
