Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance SupervisorJoin Clariant's Care Chemicals business unit as a Maintenance Supervisor and play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our plant operations. In this position, you will lead a skilled maintenance team, coordinating planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities to keep equipment safe and efficiently. You will balance priorities and resources to minimize downtime, support production targets, and respond effectively to operational needs. At the same time, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement by developing team capabilities, enhancing equipment reliability, and driving proactive maintenance practices. This role is also critical in maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and environmental performance, contributing directly to the site's operational excellence and long-term success.Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operationsPlan, schedule, and ensure execution of preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activitiesAlign maintenance plans with production requirements in coordination with operations and planning teamsManage work order backlog and prioritize activities to optimize maintenance workloadOversee maintenance execution on critical rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, seals, blowers, compressors)Lead daily maintenance meetings and ensure timely resolution of operational issuesEnsure spare parts availability and act as key liaison between planning and execution teamsGenerate maintenance reports, analyze performance data, and recommend improvementsDrive equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across the siteLead and develop the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to standards and best practicesEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standardsRequirements:High School Diploma or GED; or technical college education preferredProficiency in SAP (preferred) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within an industrial environmentAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and P&IDsGood understanding of maintenance processes and plant operationsWhat’s in it for you?Medical/Dental/Vision InsurancesPaid HolidaysPTO time with a carry-over benefitTuition ReimbursementWellness ProgramEAP ProgramSpending and Savings AccountsLife/AD&D InsuranceDisability InsurancePet InsuranceOnline discount MallAuto/Home InsuranceIdentity Theft ProtectionLegal Services Plan
