Job Title: Order Processor

Job Description

The Order Processor reviews and coordinates customer purchase orders to ensure they align with internal work orders, production schedules, and delivery commitments. This role communicates customer requirements clearly to internal teams, monitors the MRP system to track order status, and prepares shipments with accurate documentation while maintaining compliance with aerospace quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Review customer purchase orders and verify that they align with internal work orders and production requirements.
• Ensure all process requirements and customer specifications are accurately communicated to the appropriate internal teams.
• Monitor the MRP system to confirm that customer order due dates meet required delivery dates and address any discrepancies promptly.
• Provide timely updates to customers regarding order status within the required response timeframe.
• Communicate with customers to obtain missing documentation such as blueprints, drawings, and other required information.
• Obtain and communicate estimated completion dates (ECDs) for customer orders based on production status and system data.
• Develop and maintain daily reports on orders, production status, and shipment readiness.
• Process work orders in the system and ensure data entry is accurate and complete.
• Prepare orders for shipment, including coordinating shipping and receiving activities and generating Bills of Lading and related documentation.
• Assist with shipping documentation and ensure all paperwork is complete, accurate, and compliant with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR requirements in all order processing and documentation activities.
• Collaborate with production coordinators and other stakeholders to resolve order issues and support on-time delivery.
• Use SAP or other enterprise systems to track orders, update statuses, and manage customer information as needed.
• Provide professional customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in order processing and review of customer purchase orders.
• Experience working with MRP systems to monitor and manage order due dates and production schedules.
• Ability to process work orders and maintain accurate data entry in enterprise systems.
• Strong customer service skills, including clear communication and timely follow-up.
• Experience preparing shipments and coordinating shipping and receiving activities.
• Knowledge of Bills of Lading and shipment documentation requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, for documentation and reporting.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar systems for order tracking and data management.
• Understanding of AS9100 compliance requirements in an aerospace environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles and practices.
• Ability to develop and maintain daily reports on orders and production status.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling purchase orders, documentation, and compliance requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in an aerospace environment.
• Experience in shipping and receiving operations.
• Experience as a production coordinator or in a similar production support role.
• Familiarity with ITAR requirements and export control considerations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines simultaneously.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation or coordinate with technical teams to obtain required information.

Work Environment

The role is based in an aerospace production and office environment that relies on structured processes and rigorous quality standards. You will work extensively with MRP and SAP systems, Microsoft Office tools, and documentation related to shipping, receiving, and compliance. The setting involves close collaboration with production, shipping, and quality teams, with a focus on accurate documentation, on-time delivery, and adherence to AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR requirements. Work is typically performed in a professional office and manufacturing setting with standard business hours, supporting both desk-based tasks and coordination with shop-floor activities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gardena, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Gardena,CA.
