Job Opportunity – Emergency Medicine Physician – Texas

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Corpus Christi area, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (6a-6p or 6p-6a); single physician coverage per shift; no call required

Highlights:

• One-year contract opportunity across a multi-site emergency department system
• 12-hour shifts with no call responsibilities or callbacks
• APP support at all sites ranging from 9 to 24 hours daily
• Patient volumes ranging from 45 to 80 patients per day depending on site
• Level IV trauma center experience available at select locations
• EMR: Meditech with 2-3 shadow shifts for orientation

Requirements:

• ABEM board certification required for primary sites
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Proficiency in core EM procedures including intubation, central line placement, dislocation reductions, trauma management, chest tube placement, OB delivery, and laceration repair
• Ultrasound utilization skills required
• Case logs required for credentialing
• Emergency privileges not available; full credentialing required
