Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Chattanooga, TN office. This role involves handling various cases, including construction, general liability, premises liability, and professional liability across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate is licensed in both Tennessee and Alabama. Duties Manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, and appearing in court. Analyze complex legal and factual issues to develop effective case strategies. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams to ensure timely and effective case management. Requirements 2-3 years of litigation experience required; insurance defense experience is preferred. Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Demonstrated adaptability and resourcefulness in a fast‑paced environment. Self‑motivated and resourceful, with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Alabama. Skills Strong analytical and writing skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
