NYS Trooper Recruitment CoordinatorCommunicate with Trooper Applicants about processing events and steps for a successful class appointment. This includes fielding phone calls, emails and personal conversations about the process and the required documents.Assist with preparing and processing, and tracking background investigation reports and data for the field.Assist with the administrative portion of Member Hiring tasks at specific locations throughout NYS during the Regional Trooper Physical Ability Tests events. This may include overnight travel throughout the State.Responsible for candidate tracking in the Trooper Exam System database and additional software used, ensuring accurate and timely data input. This includes tracking, merging and sorting of simultaneous groups of candidates for concurrent or consecutive classes.Create and manage distribution lists in order to construct and distribute mass-communications through Everbridge Suite, Adobe, Microsoft and other software applications.Supervise and train subordinate staff, as well as train and oversee supervision of additional civilian staff, assisting with hiring and recruitment process as needed.Conducts special studies and analyses related to Member Hiring Unit programs, initiatives, trends and operations.Collects, reviews and evaluates data and other relevant information to identify trends, unit/program needs, and opportunities for improvement.Develops and administers surveys and other information-gathering tools to support Member Hiring Unit processes and program evaluation.Analyzes data, identifying trends and patterns and prepares results of findings, recommendations, and supporting materials to improve Member hiring programs and processes.Prepares a variety of forms, reports, tables, charts, fact sheets, and other materials summarizing information, trends, and data analysis results to support Member Hiring decision making.Perform additional duties as directed by supervisory staff.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree and 2 years of Human Resources experience; OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Human Resources experience; OR 6 years of Human Resources experience; OR One year of permanent service in a SG-13 position or higher.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree or higher including nine (9) semester credit hours in statistics, data analysis, data mining or data modeling; and two years of experience in the collection and evaluation of quantitative data directed toward review and analysis of program operations. OR Master's degree in business administration or Human Resources, with a focus on statistics, data analysis, data mining, or data monitoring, or a closely related field.Additional CommentsResumes will be evaluated to determine whether candidates will proceed to the interview phase of the process.
