Principal Enterprise Architect

We have an opening at Optum for an Enterprise Solutions Architect. This is a fully remote contract to hire opportunity. Optum needs an Enterprise Architect that can lead their E&I (Employer and Individual Business) segment platform. There are 30+ applications that this person will oversee at a high level. The applications are UI focused and are customer/client facing portals. This will be more of a business facing role. They will create solutions that address various business challenges, while at the same time, ensuring these technology solutions align with the overall E&I technology strategy. This person will also need to come in and understand the environment and help guide the vision of where to take this group digitally. This is about the architecture of identifying assets and managing the flow of data and making it more common.

Required:

• Enterprise Architect experience
• Healthcare OR Banking/finance experience
• Road mapping experience
• Experience creating solutions

Day to day:

• Consult with senior leaders and/or external vendors on complex technology solution issues that may impact multiple integrated business organizations and/or applications
• Ensure the alignment of technology solutions that enable, enhance, or create business capabilities with the overall E&I technology strategy
• Collaborate with the E&I business organization to understand their business problems and propose technology solutions to address those challenges
• Ensure strategic intent and impacts on supporting capabilities are mutually understood by the business and technology organizations
• Lead and participate in the design of information and application architectures on the basis of impact, cost, functionality and practicability

Required Skills: Enterprise Architect experience, Microservices and event driven architecture experience in healthcare or banking
