Lead Software QA Engineer, Robotics and Automation

Labcorp seeks a Lead Software QA Engineer for robotics and automation systems in Bloomfield, Connecticut. The role involves software testing, quality validation, cybersecurity assessment, and automation equipment testing for laboratory systems. This is a full-time, salaried position requiring U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Execute pre-release test plans and develop scripts for functional, regression, integration, and system testing
• Review unit test coverage, develop tests for critical modules, and establish coverage metrics
• Perform static code analysis, dynamic application testing, and validate secure deployment processes
• Operate and troubleshoot production-equivalent laboratory automation systems and integrated hardware components
• Develop testing processes, standards, and release handoff criteria for independent QA organization

Requirements

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years experience, or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years experience
• 3+ years developing test automation tools using Python, Java, C#, C++, or similar languages
• 3+ years creating and maintaining functional, integration, regression, or system-level test plans
• 2+ years performing static code analysis, dynamic application testing, dependency scanning, or vulnerability assessment
• 2+ years operating, testing, or validating automated equipment, robotics systems, or industrial controls
• 2+ years using defect tracking platforms such as Jira or Azure DevOps
