Summary

As a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, you will treat patients referred for physical therapy services, contributing effectively as a team member. Your role will involve applying your knowledge and skills to improve patient care quality while adhering to departmental and organizational values.

Education and Certification

• Must hold a current Physical Therapy Assistant license from the appropriate state board.
• CPR certification is required.
• FIM credentialing must be obtained within the first 45 days of employment, with a minimum proficiency score of 80%. Employees have three attempts to pass the credentialing test.

Experience and Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
• Training in evacuation procedures, restraints, seclusions, and safety devices is mandatory for all clinical staff.
• Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, and visual assessment capabilities.
• Physical ability to transfer and transport patients of varying body weights, and to frequently stand, bend, stoop, lift, turn, twist, sit, and walk.
• Proficiency in proper body mechanics and equipment use and manipulation.
