TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Peoria, Illinois, 61637!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Short Stay Unit - Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Active state license or confirmation that application process has been initiated Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: General Medical/Surgical experience Description: This position involves providing patient care in a fast-paced environment with high patient turnover. The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. Common patient diagnoses include stroke, traumas, cardiac issues, and general medical conditions such as UTI, COPD, and cellulitis. Registered Nurses are not required to titrate drips. The unit utilizes Bi-pap and C-pap on a PRN basis and high flow oxygen. Telemonitoring is done using Phillips Monitoring systems, and RNs are not required to interpret EKG strips. The schedule includes day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30 and may require six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule. Nurses participate in holiday coverage as part of an all-staff requirement. There is no on-call requirement. Registered Nurses may be floated to other departments when needed, particularly if help is required for team nursing approaches. Department-specific orientation will be provided.
