Developer Experience Event Manager

Salary: $100,000 - 125,000 per year Requirements:

• You bring strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage several projects at once while maintaining accuracy and high standards.
• You communicate effectively in writing and verbally and can work confidently with technical professionals and business stakeholders.
• You demonstrate creative problem-solving, sound judgment, and the ability to make timely decisions in fast-paced event settings.
• You pay close attention to detail, quality, brand consistency, and attendee experience.
• You are proficient with Google Workspace and familiar with event registration and marketing platforms such as Splash and Luma.
• Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence, is an advantage.
• You can work flexible hours across global time zones and event schedules and are willing and able to travel internationally as needed.
• You can manage event budgets, coordinate vendors, and handle sensitive business information responsibly.

• Lead the strategy, planning, logistics, and on-site delivery of developer-focused events, including conferences, trade shows, meetups, hackathons, and activations tied to major technology platform launches.
• Work with Developer Relations to turn regional engagement priorities into effective event plans and provide technical evangelists and other colleagues with the resources and support they need.
• Manage event sponsorships, partner commitments, and deliverables to increase visibility, engagement, and value.
• Find, assess, and negotiate with venues and vendors, including booth builders, audiovisual providers, creative production partners, and accommodation providers.
• Develop and track event budgets across regions and currencies, maintaining financial accuracy and cost efficiency.
• Partner with Developer Marketing and internal marketing teams on integrated campaigns, including landing pages, email, social content, and promotional initiatives.
• Create and maintain event listings and registration pages on company websites and platforms such as Splash and Luma.
• Collaborate with creative teams on event concepts, promotional materials, graphics, branded assets, and content for developer audiences.
• Coordinate speaking engagements, workshops, panels, and presentations with Developer Relations, Product, and other internal stakeholders.
• Support flagship integration showcases and technical demonstrations, working with Developer Relations to present technical content effectively.
• Manage product demonstrations from preparation through delivery, ensuring they are tested and event-ready and that participating colleagues receive training, instructions, and supporting materials in coordination with Product Marketing Managers.
• Prepare pre-event briefings, run-of-show documents, operational plans, and post-event reports to support consistent delivery and ongoing improvement.
• Track leads, attendee engagement, event performance, and return on investment, and ensure accurate, timely data entry and follow-up in CRM systems.
• Research new event opportunities, assess sponsorship proposals, and recommend future developer-focused activations.
• Travel internationally as needed to oversee events and represent the organization at global developer and industry gatherings.
