Property Accountant | $90,000 - $120,000 + Benefits Work Arrangement: On-site, with some flexibility Employment Type: Full-Time Overview Carter Rolan Griup currently partnering with a well-established, privately owned real estate organisation to appoint a Senior Property Accountant into its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable business where accounting plays a key role in supporting property operations and investment performance. Rather than being responsible for a small part of the accounting process, you\'ll take ownership of the full accounting cycle across an assigned property portfolio and work closely with operational leaders to deliver accurate financial reporting and commercial insight. What You'll Be Doing Take ownership of the full-cycle accounting for an assigned multifamily property portfolio. Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting packages. Perform month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis. Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are coded, approved and paid accurately and on time. Act as the primary finance contact for vendor relationships, resolving queries and maintaining accurate vendor records. Prepare weekly cash reports, bank reconciliations and cash forecasts. Process ACH payments, wire transfers and investor distributions. Maintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciation and amortisation. Ensure critical payments including mortgages, taxes, insurance and utilities are processed accurately. Partner closely with property management and operational teams to resolve financial queries and improve reporting processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining strong internal controls. What You'll Need to Succeed Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. Minimum of 3-5 years\' property accounting experience within multifamily real estate. Strong understanding of the full month-end close process. Strong knowledge of accounts payable, vendor management and property accounting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships across finance and operations. What\'s On Offer Salary up to $120,000 , depending on experience.
