Property Manager

Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations, resident satisfaction, retention, full resident lifecycle activities. Oversee lease administration, rent collection, delinquency management, property P&L, and marketing. Provide excellent customer service and client expectations. Recruit, interview, give corrective feedback, and hire. Create a climate with shared vision, coaching, and development. Execute strategic marketing plan to attract and retain residents. Understand operations guidelines within property management agreement. Respond to resident complaints, liaison to corporate office regarding common area maintenance and enforcement of landlord rules. Maintain professional knowledge via workshops and publications. Organize and implement site natural disaster and emergency evacuation plans. Manage safety records, property loss claims, and risk management initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Education And Experience: High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two to three years of property management experience required. One to two years of direct management experience required. Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required. Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations. Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred. Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or equivalent system preferred. Skills And Requirements: Very strong organizational and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Sensitivity to confidential matters required. Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in fast-paced environment with urgency. Ability to relay technical concerns with detail, quickly and accurately. Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English. Ability to use general office equipment (telephone, fax, printer, copier, key track system). Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
