Assistant Coach, Women'S Lacrosse

Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse Brown University Athletics and Recreation is currently seeking candidates for the Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, this role is part of the Ivy League intercollegiate athletics program, which has 38 varsity teams and approximately 1,000 athletes competing in NCAA Division I. This position assists the Head Coach in all phases of the Women's Lacrosse Program. Responsibilities include coaching, teaching, player development, recruiting, and administrative duties such as coordinating training and travel schedules, video analysis, completing compliance information, and alumni relations. The role supports efforts to attract the nation's top women's lacrosse players to our Division I scholarship program. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree with 1‑2 years of coaching experience, or a minimum of 5 years of direct related experience if a Bachelor's Degree is not earned. Coaching experience in intercollegiate athletics, professional athletics, elite amateur sport, or a comparable competitive environment. Job Competencies Ability to recruit within NCAA and Ivy League rules. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. Demonstrated ability to work with and relate well to students. Excellent sport‑specific technical, tactical, and strategic knowledge. Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, internet, and email capabilities. Social media experience (helpful). Familiarity with Teamworks or similar preferred. Prior experience with video editing software (helpful). Commitment to the student‑athlete, passion for the game, and ability to coach and motivate. Compliance and Certifications All division employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules. The duties of the position must be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League rules, and regulations. Any violations or knowledge of violations must be reported to the compliance office and appropriate parties. Employees in coaching positions must receive annual NCAA recruiting rules education and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (available at no cost through the Division).
