Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexible working conditions while providing critical support to families across New York. As part of a virtual team, the LCSW will utilize teletherapy tools and digital resources to connect with clients effectively, ensuring a comfortable and accessible experience for families in need of support from the dedicated Detox Center we collaborate with.

Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will engage in a variety of vital tasks aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of children and their families. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations and assessments to understand the needs of children and their families.

• Participating actively in the development and implementation of individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) tailored to each child's development.
\n
• Monitoring and documenting outcomes in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that services align with children's evolving needs.
\n
• Providing vital support and guidance to families, educating them on strategies that foster their child's development.
\n
• Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining the health and safety standards of service delivery.
\n
• Using evidence-based practices to develop a rapport with children and families, creating a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship.

• Applying the Natural Learning Environment Practices in therapy sessions to support children in familiar and comfortable settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on supporting young children, particularly infants and toddlers facing developmental delays or disabilities. You'll work closely with families, engaging them in the therapy process to ensure a holistic approach to their child's care. Your expertise will help to enhance crucial skills including physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication abilities during these formative years.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from the Department of Public Health.

• A valid driver’s license to travel to client appointments as needed.
\n
• A minimum of one year of experience working with young children and families, especially in early intervention settings.

• Demonstrated ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse learning styles and needs.

• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, coupled with a commitment to collaborative teamwork.

Preferred Experience\n
